Successes and collaborations

Together we are smart

The hallmark of successful collaboration is that both partners achieve more together than they could have done alone: The whole is greater than the sum of both parts.

We seek, foster, and strengthen collaboration with partners along the entire value chain to drive the transformation to sustainable business models. We are not satisfied until our customers succeed as a result of their collaboration with Lenzing.

The key to success is application-oriented innovation. Born of challenging questions, scientific curiosity, and a wealth of real-world knowledge, innovation ultimately improves the lives of millions of consumers.

Pioneering fashion tech

Steps for the next generation

Lenzing, Recyc Leather, and GANNI present Pélinova®, a new innovative material for shoes.

“Our partnership with Lenzing and GANNI demonstrates Pélinova®’s potential as a truly sustainable alternative to traditional leather. It is an inspiration for us to expand the range of applications and actively shape the future of the leather industry.”

Olivier GrammontCo-founder of Recyc Leather

Collaborating with the avantgarde fashion label GANNI, Lenzing launched slouchy boots made of a new innovative material in 2024. Developed in collaboration with Recyc Leather, an expert in leather alternatives, the Pélinova® brand material combines TENCEL™ lyocell fibers and recycled leather fibers for high-end fashion applications. The partners have already announced new products for 2025.

Pélinova® is a next-gen material from Recyc Leather. It is produced in a unique, transparent process that conserves resources in a closed loop. Recycled pre-consumer leather is collected, and the fibers from this leather are fused with TENCEL™ lyocell fibers under high pressure. The result is an outstanding material in the TENCEL™ brand portfolio.

RESPONSIBLE NONWOVENS

Good for the skin and environment

Sustainable innovation in nonwovens: Lenzing VEOCEL™ and Graminton join forces

“Since the pandemic, many consumers have become more aware of the importance of sustainable living and prefer responsible nonwoven products.”

Lisa Yan Wei CEO of Graminton

Graminton Enterprise, a leading supplier of nonwoven products, and Lenzing VEOCEL™ announced their strategic collaboration in 2024 and have since launched two products together. The Gbuuty face masks and MuiMui Bear dry baby wipes contain VEOCEL™ fibers and combine environmental responsibility with a superior user experience. The collaboration not only helps Graminton achieve its ESG goals but also raises consumer awareness of sustainable, responsible nonwoven products.

The partnership successfully demonstrates the versatility of VEOCEL™ fibers. Consumers can use responsible products without having to sacrifice product quality or experience. Lenzing VEOCEL™ and Graminton are working together on other innovations to meet the diverse needs of consumers and promote a sustainable and healthy environment for all.

Innovation in hygiene products

Carefree protection every day

With its broad portfolio of pads and pantyliners, Carefree (part of Edgewell) is the only provider of feminine hygiene products that address all situations and vicissitudes of fluid and odor control. The co-branding partnership between Carefree and Lenzing VEOCEL™, which launched in 2024, offers even better product features and effective protection for light and heavy days in the sanitary pad and pantyliner range.

The new pads feature the market’s first exterior layer made from VEOCEL™ lyocell fibers with Dry technology – a very soft material that contributes to a comfortable, breathable wearing experience. Both regular and overnight sanitary pads absorb moisture instantly and completely, keeping skin dry day and night.

Revolutionary dyeing technology

Where colors and nature shine

Lenzing and knitwear manufacturer Cobalt Fashion are partnering with Exponent Envirotech to revolutionize the fashion industry with waterless ECOHUES™ dyeing technology for regenerated cellulose fibers. The partnership will provide the market with innovative sustainable yarn options that are as colorful and functional as conventionally dyed yarns. The goal is to reduce the carbon footprint and environmental impact of the textile industry.

“This partnership is an important first step in working together to make a far-reaching impact and bring about change in the textile industry.”

Andrew Dixon Senior Vice President, Merchandising, Cobalt Fashion

“We are excited to be able to use the ECOHUES™ dyeing technology for the first time for lyocell, modal, and viscose fibers. This technology has the potential to revolutionize conventional practices in the textile value chain.”
